Winnie Harlow is a model and activist, and you can now add clapback queen to that list. Back in April, the former America’s Next Top Model contestant called out the UK’s Evening Standard for referring to her as a “Canadian vitiligo sufferer.” Fast forward a few months, and she’s coming for a different outlet.
The Daily Mail published a story with photos of Harlow leaving the gym, and she had an issue with this particular line: “She highlighted her natural beauty with a palette of makeup that included a simple smoky eye and nude lip.” Well, turns out she didn’t have eye makeup on and wasn’t even wearing lipstick.
“HAHA! When the tabloids assume ur wearing makeup when ur not ?,” she wrote on Twitter. “@DailyMailCeleb @DailyMail I’ll take that as a compliment?”

Harlow has been vocal before about the fact that she’s way more into her skincare routine than her makeup. “I don’t shop. If I shop, it’s for skincare,” she told W. “My skincare routine is so complex. I take off my makeup with avocado oil and tone it with tea tree oil. Then I use an antiaging oil and rub that into my skin and have a face cream, and so on and so forth. It’s a lot.”
